My first trip to Japan was in November, 2016 and included a short trip to Hokkaido, the northernmost island in Japan. On my fourth trip, I decided to focus on traveling to Hokkaido for the entire eight-day journey. The total trip covered over 1,400 km and some of the road conditions were very tough. The worst weather we experienced was the drive to the city of Wakkanai, the northern most point of Japan (across the Sea of Japan from Siberia, Russia).
Below is a film short of my trip to Hokkaido from December 28th to January 5th 2020. The weather was very inconsistent and extremely cold.
